Born in the mysterious 'Otherworld' of the Brecon  Beacons, currently Bristol based, Wonder Waste is an eco-conscious creative collective that supports events and festivals achieve sustainability goals through fun interactive art and live performances.

By fostering playfulness and connection, Wonder Waste aims to ease climate anxiety and inspire meaningful action - turning festival fun into powerful eco-education, encouraging sustainable values on-site and at home.

WHAT WE DO:

Eco-Education, Art Installation + Performance

Wonder Waste creates installations and costumes out of up-cycled scrap materials - aiming to inspire circular design principals and spark conversation around the overwhelming imprint humans have on the environment.

Throughout the installations are embedded digital eco-booklets accessible through QR codes that share important and positive climate information, as well as links to websites like WWF and Friends Of The Earth, sharing crucial facts and ways to support environmental advocacy, such as donations and fundraiser ideas.


Waste Solutions + Circular Design

We also offer waste management solutions for festivals and events, through organised recycling stations and litter picking, run by Waste Witches and Wizards.

Some festivals run existing programmes that offer any tents, sleeping bags or left over items that are safe to be donated to charities. However, not all materials are suitable to donate, such as broken chairs and tents.

Wonder Waste offers ‘Binspiration boxes’ to collect any materials that can be repurposed for future decoration and costumes - turning post festival waste into fresh art, reinforcing circular design ethics.


Eco-friendly / Up-cycled Trolls + Merch

When festival season is over, Wonder Waste offers creature ornaments + decorations made from recycled materials, as well as art prints, and eco-friendly up-cycled merch.
